Gifts idea

All pictures below are from theknot.com wedding shop. its giving me sooo many ideas!

Groomsmen: I found this on theknot.com wedding shop and thought it was so cute and affordable. It is only 5.75 each WITH personalization. Another option is personalized flasks which can be 10 each without the personalization so I think the shotglass is a cute alternative. Of course, it is up to the fiance!

Best man: i feel the gift should be related to the groomsmen's gift but a little more elaborate so maybe the personalized flask would be perfect. I also found this, a personalized beer mug for only 9.95 plus 6.95 for the personalization so that is another alternative

Bridesmaid: for some reason, I've been wanting to get a personalized compact mirror for the bridesmaid since they are only 10 bucks each but really usable but elegant.

this is another good alternative. it is not personally engraved but it does say love which is adorable and is much cheaper at only 2 something each!

Matron of honor: I am not sure what to get yet because she is my sister and my best friend so I really want to step it up. I may do something similar to what she did for me and get her pearls. Maybe on etsy.com since there are so many original ideas there. if i had the money, I would get her a Tiffanys bracelet that is the same as what I have.

Bride's Parents: I am unsure what to get them, hope to update soon as I have ideas.

Groom's parents:

Bridal Shower: I couldn't help it but this is just so perfect for the bridal shower and only 2.95 each!

rehearsal dinner: i would love to do this corny and punny favor. it says "meant to bee" which i just find hilarious and sweet.

but i also saw this which i just cannot resist! it is a whisk with a heart inside and says "whisked away". anyone who knows me can tell this is me because Ive been a professional baker and am a foodie!

Wedding rings

Offbeat Bride | Non-sucky wedding rings: my favorite article I've read with many helpful comments from readers, about alternatives for wedding rings.

greenKarat-Jewelry Product Detail Page: there are some amazing rings on here but it gets pretty pricey (at least if you are budget conscious like me), especially if you are allergic to nickle like i am

Green Weddings - Eco Friendly Wedding Rings: gives different ideas you can do to stay eco conscious

Titanium Rings - Classic Custom Band Collection: the more popular alternative to gold and platinum option. one of the two options my fiance is willing to do. this website actually has decent prices but i think is only applicable to men sizes.

Tungsten Rings for men: my fiance's preferred option. he loves that it is more durable (like 10 times more durable than titanium but cheaper). he likes the helix, spartan, and legacy options. sadly they don't make them small enough to fit me so we can have a matching set. an alternative was a matching set on etsy for only 85 bucks but it is shiny and he does not want shiny. maybe we will end up requesting them do it in a different finish!

Wedding Bands - Tungsten vs. Titanium - SOON2BEPAYTON's Chocolate Wedding by Color Blog : this is a good article for debating which is a better fit for the wedding couple

http://www.overstock.com/guides/mens-wedding-bands-buying-guide this is another good article to read too

I want to make my own flowers for the centerpieces. They will be origami or rolled fabrics. I got the ideas from many websites:

A list of 11 rose making tutorials | DuhBe.com

I have not really decided on what methods I would like to use. Figure I have enough time til January when I will start working on them. I do love this picture though that I found online:

Wedding colors

my colors will be blue, gray (including silver if needed), and white! blue and gray are my and my fiance's favorite colors and are what we always end up wearing. so it felt natural to use these colors.

Intro

This is a blog to help keep me organized for my wedding on March 11, 2011. I've done loads of research, picking out sites and blogs that would help me keep organized and wanted to share that with other brides to be that I am fortunate to be friends with.

These are the sites I've found to be invaluable to me so far:

theknot : I love LOVE their tools; including guest list management and budget tool! also love the free website they can help you create to give to the guests and comes with option to RSVP online, saving loads of paper and stamps!)
Offbeat Bride : this is an incredible site for brides who want alternative ideas to the traditional weddings. there are tons of cute ideas on here.
Eat Drink Chic : Recently found this and there are so many really original ideas that can apply to weddings. I am using her engagement party invitations as my wedding invitation. She gives free DIY patterns as well and is obsessed with ice cream, which is a bonus.
Nonpareil Magazine : An online magazine with original ideas to be eco friendly and have DIY projects available. There are only three issues out so far but there's a lot of ideas in them. I love the short gloves idea and am considering doing them myself.
Eco Wedding- Green Wedding Resource Guide : This is a great website for familiarizing yourself with how to have an eco friendly wedding.
Something Green : a really awesome blog with many amazing ideas for eco friendly weddings. I am recently inspired by an entry that says to give eco friendly coffee as favors.
